The Jurisprudence Scientific Council in the Ministry of Endowments determined the amount of charity and ransom for fasting and the nisab of zakat on cash money for the year 1443 AH corresponding to 2022 AD.
In a statement, which SANA received a copy of today, the council indicated that the amount of al-Fitr charity in Syrian pounds for this year is at least 10,000 Syrian pounds for each person, and whoever volunteers charity is good for him.
The council specified the ransom for fasting, which is required when despairing of the possibility of making up for the days that the fasting person did not fast due to old age or illness whose cure is not expected, and its amount is at least 10,000 Syrian pounds.
The council also set the penance for oaths and vows at 12 thousand pounds for each poor person, totaling 120 thousand, the nisab for zakat on cash money, and the amount of the legal nisab value for silver and gold.
