There is a state of emergency in the district at the end of June because of the G7 summit.

But the Murnau middle and high school students will be able to write their final exams at their educational institutions.

Apparently, however, external examinees will be guests.

Murnau

– There are still a few months until the G7 summit in Schloss Elmau.

But the big event, which takes place from June 26th to 28th, casts its shadow.

Final exams take place at the same time.

In the Christoph-Probst-Middle School in Murnau, however, it is assumed that no major impairments are to be expected for the northern district and that all young people can reach the facility easily and safely on the two days on which the qualification is due.

In concrete terms, this means: "All of our students can also take the final exams at our school." Rector Martina Weber announced this in a letter to parents.

However, it could be that access by bus or train is limited or not possible at short notice.

For this reason, the Rector asks the parents to consider

how the way to school is alternatively possible, for example by private car or by bicycle.

Parents can contact the class teacher until tomorrow Friday to discuss open questions, concerns and concrete planning.

Examinees may be guests

71 young people will compete in the qualification.

It is possible that not only Murnau secondary school students write their final exams in the market town, but also other young people.

For example, young people from Ohlstadt, Murnau and Eschenlohe who attend Oberau Middle School but may have difficulties getting there.

Or business students from Garmisch-Partenkirchen and young people from the local vocational school.

However, more details are still unclear.

According to the current status, things are similar at the Realschule in the Blaues Land.

"All students will take their exams at the Realschule Murnau," says head Ralf Havelka.

"We assume so." 109 young women and men will probably take part.

In addition, probably because of the G7 summit, there are some secondary school students from the Ammer Valley who attend the two secondary schools in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

According to Havelka, if a student does not reach the Murnau Realschule im Blaues Land on the exam days for any reason related to the G7 summit, there is an “emergency anchor”.

A week later, the person can take the exam.

Supervising Ukrainian students

In the meantime, the topic of Ukraine has also been raised at the secondary school.

To put it more precisely: Ukrainian students have to be looked after.

"We're looking for a concept on how we can do this sensibly," says Havelka.

"We're working our way." By the end of this week there will be 15 Ukrainian students, he estimates.

"We assign them to a class and take them out again and again to teach them German." Havelka emphasizes: "We try to make our contribution."
