France is putting the finishing touches to its own, which should appear in the form of a decree in the coming days.
To develop it, the public authorities have pulled out of their drawers an old draft text framing targeted and emergency cuts in the event of a lack of gas - called
"load shedding"
.
Individuals are not affected.
The draft decree only targets some 5,000 industrial sites and large consumers.
"It's a last resort"
, we say to the Ministry of Ecological Transition.
At the same time, the prefects must draw up a list of sites that cannot be interrupted, such as hospitals and certain industrial sites.
