"Justice for Hugo": they protest the death of the 15-year-old attacked with a glass cup at a party in Mexico

Mexican authorities are investigating the death of Hugo Carbajal, a 15-year-old boy killed on Saturday while attending a clandestine party in the municipality of Jilotzingo in the state of Mexico.

Carbajal attended with his friends on April 2 the hall known as Empire at the Jilotzingo ranch.

According to witnesses told the newspaper El Universal, in the middle of the event, the young man began to run around the place without control and the guard of the place tried to stop him.

The man, identified as Mauricio 'N', allegedly hit him on the head with a glass cup and cut his neck with the pieces of glass.

When the teenager arrived at the local hospital, the doctors assured that he no longer had vital signs and declared his death.

Other witnesses to the event said that the man who caused Hugo's injuries fled the party with the help of the owner of the place.

The Prosecutor's Office of the State of Mexico closed the meeting place and assured that they issued an arrest warrant against the suspect, who is already fully identified.

For his part, the president of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, assured that he is in communication with the adolescent's relatives and said that the Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection is dealing with the case.
