Political upheaval

: Right-wing sources claim today (Wednesday) that the end of the government is approaching following the resignation of Idit Silman from the coalition.

According to them, "we can at most pull a few more months in power, but there will probably be elections later."

They added: "In any case, the prime minister has made it clear that he is not going home in any scenario but 'staying on the wheel' and if necessary running in the elections again."

Among other things, the same right-wing elements sharply attacked MK Silman. They call her "an opportunistic politician who does not even have a grain of ideology."

According to them, "she would have been willing to take a place in Meretz as well, if only they had offered her."

Meanwhile, while Prime Minister Bennett is trying to stem the leak in his party following the retirement of MK Idit Silman, the opposition is thinking ahead and putting the focus on the joint list.

The opposition is worried about the possibility that the coalition will put significant pressure on them and persuade them not to give a hand in replacing the government in the Knesset or going to the polls.

The fear is that in the coalition, MKs from the joint list will be told that if they support moves to disband the government, they may form a government with Ben Gvir and Smutrich.
