Four US soldiers were injured on Thursday (April 7th) in a rocket attack on a base used by the anti-jihadist coalition in the Deir Ezzor region in northeastern Syria, the US military's central command said (Centcom). .
"Coalition forces in Green Village, eastern Syria, were targeted by two rounds of rockets which hit two buildings
," Centcom said in a statement, adding that the attack occurred around one o'clock in the morning.

"Four American soldiers are currently being examined for minor injuries and possible head trauma
," said the American command, without naming the potential perpetrators of the rocket fire.

The Kurdish base of Green Village, which houses coalition forces still deployed in Syria to fight against the last cells of the Islamic State (IS) group, had already been targeted in January by rocket fire attributed to pro-Iranian groups.
