Al-Hasakah-SANA
The General Electricity Company of Al-Hasakah announced the interruption of electricity supply to a number of stations in the countryside and the city due to the collapse of two electrical tension towers.
In a statement to SANA’s reporter, the General Director of Al-Hasakah Electricity, Eng. Anwar Okla, said that the power outage included the stations of “Al-Masata, Tel Tamro, the Eastern Dam and the Western Dam” as a result of the collapse of two towers on the 66 kV tension line feeding the stations in Al-Abed village, southeast of Al-Hasakah city.
Al-Ukla pointed out that the reason for the collapse of the towers is due to theft of corners and beams, which caused a defect and weakness in them that led to their collapse due to the exposure of the area to moderate winds, pointing out that the workshops will start their work tomorrow to repair the towers and recharge the electricity.
Most of the neighborhoods of Al-Hasakah city and the western and southern countryside are fed by the aforementioned stations, and currently there is only the Ghazal station in service.
