45.5 million envelopes out of 47.9 million were thus distributed in voters' mailboxes.
“The last remaining envelopes will be distributed on Saturday morning, the day before the ballot,” added the ministry.
He stresses that the distribution "therefore took place normally, at the same pace as for the previous presidential elections".
Many French still undecided
Last year, during the departmental and regional elections, the distribution of electoral propaganda experienced major malfunctions attributed to one of the service providers, Adrexo.
He had been entrusted with this task partly with the Post Office at the end of a framework agreement concluded with the State, valid for four years, but the setbacks in the regional elections had led the government to give again all the distribution of the folds elections at La Poste.
Thursday, nearly 30% of French people registered on the electoral lists had not yet received the twelve programs, according to the Ministry of the Interior, while many French people are still undecided.
According to an Ipsos survey for Le Monde, 37% of citizens registered on the electoral lists and sure of going to the polls still did not know who to vote for on March 28.
