One has the impression of being in an insane asylum, but the scene takes place on Russian television, during the evening broadcast of the first television channel ORT, where every evening, officiates the star presenter Vladimir Soloviev, chief television propagandist for Putin's power, dressed in a long jacket in the neo-Bolshevik style, and surrounded by a series of "strategists" in charge of unfolding the thought of the Kremlin.
Putin's ideological hype has been going on for two decades, but since 2014, and especially since February 24, 2022, it has become a surreal and fascistic spectacle, where speakers howl invectives against Ukraine and its American "master", while asserting that Russia is the victim of a vast Western conspiracy and is being attacked from all sides.
