Daraa-Sana
Daraa Water Corporation announced that the water was cut off from the Al-Sabil neighborhood in the city after the results of sampling that took place last Thursday by a joint team from the Directorates of Health and Environment and the Water Foundation, which confirmed the presence of pollution in the water from the area extending from the Martyrs’ buildings to Al-Sabil Park.
Abdo Al-Khasharfa, Deputy Head of the Executive Office in the governorate, indicated that all departments from the Water Corporation, the Sewage Company, the City Council and the Technical Services Directorate, in addition to a team from the Ministry of Water Resources, were mobilized to find a radical solution to the problem of water pollution in the neighborhood.
Al-Khasharfa pointed out that the Water Corporation will replace the areas exposed to pollution with tanks equipped with sterilization materials, pointing out the need for citizens to periodically clean and sterilize their tanks and report blockages in their sewage so that the concerned authorities can address the problem immediately.
For his part, Daraa Health Director, Dr. Ashraf Barmo, said that the directorate directed a mobile clinic to Al-Sabil neighborhood to provide treatment to everyone who visits it, explaining that the number of cases that have been poisoned by contaminated drinking water has been intimidated.
The problem of drinking water pollution appeared in the Al-Sabil neighborhood in Daraa city about a week ago, resulting from the mixing of drinking water with sewage water. Reporting blockages in the neighborhood exacerbated the pollution problem.
Why peaceful?
