A fire broke out in Tseung Kwan O.
At about 2 a.m., the authorities received reports from a number of citizens that the soundproof screen adjacent to the Chen Guowei Primary School of Pok Oi Hospital on Baoshun Road caught fire and there was a loud explosion.
The fire department rushed to the scene after receiving the report and found that there was an open fire in the grass on the side of the soundproof screen on the site. They immediately dragged out the hose of the fire truck and shot water to put out the fire. No one was injured in the incident.
According to the preliminary investigation, it was found that some debris or garbage had accumulated at the location of the grass earlier. It cannot be ruled out that when someone passed by, the cigarette butt was left behind, which caused the fire.
Part of the soundproof screen at the upper site was destroyed by the fire, and part of the transparent plastic board was burned through.
After several residents were awakened by the sound of the explosion, in addition to reporting the incident, they also used their telephones to film the fire situation; some motorists also took pictures of the fire scene at close range when they passed by the site.
From the photos and clips uploaded by citizens to social media, it can be seen that the fire is quite fierce, and the flames are much higher than the soundproof screen itself, and it is speculated that it is at least 10 meters high.
