Officials in Shanghai, China's financial heart, have promised to begin easing Covid-19 lockdowns in some areas starting Monday.
According to the local government, as part of the new rules, the city will be divided into three categories based on recent covid-19 infections, and in those neighborhoods where no positive cases have been detected for a period of 14 days, they will be allowed to its residents partially come out of confinement.
The new measure will provide relief to some 7,500 neighborhoods that are in this situation.
