The spokesperson for the Right to Housing (DAL) association, Jean-Baptiste Eyraud, was arrested on Tuesday April 12 in Paris for "
rebellion
", according to the police headquarters, during a demonstration in front of the Ministry of Housing and taken into custody, according to a source close to the case.

In a press release, the association protested against this arrest which it described as "
muscular
", denouncing a "
violent repression against the ''Forgotten Dalo'' families
", the Right to housing opposable.
Questioned by AFP, the Paris police headquarters confirmed this arrest, adding that the "
rebellion
" was the reason.

The association explained in its press release that while the demonstrators "
joined the road as planned in the declaration of demonstration filed in the Prefecture, the police (had) intervened brutally
".

", before he was taken to the police station where he was "
served in police custody for ''rebellion''
".
Jean-Baptiste Eyraud's police custody was confirmed to AFP by a source familiar with the matter.
Denouncing a "
violent arrest during a peaceful demonstration of women, men and children
", the DAL demanded "
the immediate release
" of Jean-Baptiste Eyraud and "
the cessation of all proceedings against him
" .
