Seder night is coming and you: hosts or hosts?

Whether with you or with others, here is a way for you to find out what awaits you - at least in terms of the design investment in the seder table - depending on your handwriting and / or that of the hosts

A few years ago, we held a family seder evening with us in the small house on the kibbutz.

Of course we cleared the whole living room, opened a long table and as usual, the way of kibbutzniks or the way of people who are more interested in fellowship and food than in the precise design that matches all the rules of the ceremony (who wrote them ???), we set a table with plates, cups and sum From the same "family."

The table was colorful and cheerful in our eyes, plates of different sizes and colors, a sum from everything next door, because, to be honest, for our personal family perception, the fork and plate are just tools for storing and carrying delicious food from the table to the mouth and from there to the stomach ...

But one of our guests, a dear and wonderful woman (without cynicism), is also, by chance, a Yakite in the good sense of the word.

A very well-groomed woman, always meticulous in her dress and manner of expression and when she entered the house and glanced at the table, I caught her momentary expression on her face as a cloud laden with astonishment mixed with horror in an attempt at camouflage, anger and insult ... all celebrated together and she had a hard time stopping herself.

She went to the table and at the height of her gentleness began to arrange the amount, which was of course not placed according to the rules of the ceremony, align the uneven cups at the right angle to the right of the plate and center the small plates inside the larger ones and so on ...

She tried her best to gently ask if we did not have a uniform set (of course not ...) and throughout the entire evening, she seemed uncomfortable.

It was not the arrangement she had expected.

The atmosphere was great, we laughed endlessly, we did not read the whole Haggadah but only its part (this too, it turns out, is a problem. But she solved it by reading it to the end) and in short, the lack of uniformity, the lack of aesthetics To the appropriate and required extent), really disturbed her rest and made it difficult for her to focus and enjoy everything else: the excellent food and the wonderful atmosphere.

How is this story related?

It is related because I am sure that if we were invited to it to arrange (were not invited ... I wonder why) we would find a table set for glory, decorated and meticulous, the dishes were all from the same special set for the holiday and so on and so forth.

Guess you understand ...

But how does this relate to the manuscript?

People for whom aesthetics are important (and aesthetics, it should be remembered, is very personal and differs from person to person and from culture to culture), will also take care of the aesthetics of their manuscript.

for most.

"Mostly" because there are people who are very aesthetic and at the same time quick-thinking and intuitive, have a free mind and a desire to "swallow life" and their handwriting will be different and will not always betray the high importance of their personal aesthetics.

Aesthetic design can have many interiors and at the same time it will have a high degree of uniformity, shape and movement.

The more the font is "designed" and looks like a computer font, the more important the aesthetic importance, the external appearance, will be.

Here are some examples:

In this case, too, you are expected to have a well-organized and well-arranged holiday table (Photo: Official Website, Institute of Graphology, Hanna Koren)

In contrast, people who are less sensitive to order, beauty and aesthetics, will be characterized by more "messy" and disordered writings, spaces vary between letters and words, the script will often lose its readability and even the corrections, if any, will be scribbled.

I wish you all a happy, pleasant, delicious, fun and family holiday just as much as you wish for yourself.

Remember that the knife should be on the right side and the fork on the left and the glass of wine on the right for a plate in the corner or just where you want, the main thing is to be surrounded by people you love and do not forget that if you celebrate - you are blessed.

Happy holiday to all of us and best wishes from Laboratories to Freedom!
