The Russian Defense Ministry announced today that the cruiser "Moskva" sank while towing to port, affected by a storm and bad weather conditions.
The TASS news agency quoted the ministry as saying in a statement that the cruiser lost its stability when it was towed to the port of destination due to the damage to its hull and then sank, pointing out that the crew of the cruiser was evacuated to ships belonging to the Black Sea Fleet.
The ministry had announced yesterday that a fire broke out on board the Russian missile cruiser "Moskva" due to the explosion of ammunition.
