Moscow: Kyiv is preparing to target refugees in Kharkov and blame Russian forces

The Russian Defense Ministry revealed that the Ukrainian government is preparing to prepare a new provocation by targeting a group of refugees in the Kharkov province of eastern Ukraine in order to blame the Russian forces for the attack.

Russia Today website quoted the commander of the National Defense Management Center of the Russian Defense Ministry, Mikhail Mezintsev, as saying in a statement today that “Moscow has reliable information indicating that the Kyiv regime is preparing a new horrific provocation, similar to what happened in the city of Kramatorsk, in order to blame the Russian military for the crimes An alleged war that includes the genocide of civilians.”

"For this purpose, in the near future, a battery of the 19th missile brigade of the Ukrainian army will launch a strike using the Tochka system or on a gathering of refugees at the train station in the city of Lozova," he added.

Mezintsev said that the attack will be carried out from the direction of the village of Staromykhailovka in the Donetsk People's Republic in order to hold the Russian forces and the forces of the Donetsk Republic responsible for the attack.

The Russian general accused the Ukrainian authorities of "inhumane treatment of the fate of Ukrainian civilians and disregard of all moral norms and international humanitarian law," stressing once again that "Russia does not use Tochka missiles or in its military operation in Ukraine."

Mizntsev concluded his statement by saying: "We warn the countries of the so-called "civilized West" led by the United States in advance that Russia has an operational evidence base regarding the new horrific crimes that the Kyiv regime is preparing to commit."
