According to the Kremlin, Russian President Vladimir Putin earned 10.2 million rubles (around 114,000 euros) last year.
The Office of the President published on Friday the official earnings of the 69-year-old, who has been in power in Moscow for more than two decades.
A 77 square meter apartment, three cars and a car trailer were also listed as Putin's private property.
Critics suspect that Russia's ruler is in fact many times richer.
It is sometimes speculated that he could be one of the richest people in the world.
Corruption has repeatedly been accused of his apparatus of power.
The Kremlin's announcement caused ridicule on the Internet.
Some users referred to research by the imprisoned opponent of the regime, Alexej Navalny, who had uncovered several corruption scandals.
Last year, in a two-hour film, Navalny's team assigned Putin a huge palace on the Black Sea coast and revealed veiled ownership.
This property alone is said to be worth more than a billion euros.
At the time, the Kremlin called the report “nonsense” and a “lie”.
The regime has repeatedly shown that information from Moscow should be treated with the utmost caution.
According to the figures that have now been published, Putin was by no means the Russian politician with the highest income last year.
The income of Trade Minister Denis Manturov was given as 704.7 million rubles (7.9 million euros).
In the Kremlin itself, Putin's special envoy Vladimir Medinsky, who is currently leading the peace negotiations with Ukraine for the Russian side, is said to have earned the most with 106.7 million rubles (1.2 million euros).
