Iraq today strongly condemned the Turkish military operation in the north of the country, stressing that it is a violation of national sovereignty and contravenes international charters and laws and the principle of good neighborliness.
And the Iraqi News Agency, INA, quoted the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Al-Sahaf, as saying in a statement that the government of the Republic of Iraq categorically rejects and strongly condemns the military operations carried out by the Turkish forces by bombing Iraqi lands in the area of Muteena Al-Zab, Afashin and Bassian in northern Iraq with Atak helicopters and drones, stressing that his country It considers that this act is a violation of the sovereignty and unity of Iraq and violates international charters and laws that regulate relations between countries, as well as the principle of good neighborliness, pointing out at the same time that Iraq refuses to be a headquarters or a corridor to inflict harm and harm on any of the neighboring countries or to be an arena for settling accounts to other third parties.
On February 2, Iraq condemned the Turkish regime's violation of the country's sovereignty and bombing areas in northern Iraq.
The Turkish regime forces continue to violate Iraqi sovereignty, as last August, they bombed several areas in Dohuk Governorate, causing significant material damage.
