A confrontation broke out today (Monday) in a hearing to extend detention between the deputy president of the Magistrate's Court in Haifa, Pnina Argaman, and the house of police representative Yaniv Aboud.

The judge yelled at the policeman, ordering him to "shut up."

The hearing took place in the case of a drug trafficking suspect from the locality of Jisr a-Zarqa, and was held in front of a hall full of the suspect's relatives and curious people.

Finally, the judge partially acceded to the police request and extended the suspect's detention by seven days, praising the investigative unit, which she believes is carrying out very many actions in the ramified investigation.

According to her, "at this stage" she has no criticism of the investigating unit.

On the other hand, the judge had a lot of criticism of the police representative, who, according to her, insisted that her comment be recorded in the minutes.

At one point in the argument the representative even left the hall.

The judge then wrote in the minutes that Aboud "rioted during the hearing from the beginning, behaved arrogantly and arrogantly, did not address the court's appeals, started the hearing with his hands in his pockets and did not let the court say a word."

The judge further wrote that "indeed in the situation of Idna Daritha, in order to put an end to things, the words were said not with the intention of insulting, but out of blatant disrespect towards the court, which had no choice but to say the words, and the evidence only stopped."

Now, Judge Argaman has this representative of the police and noted that "the court is not prepared for a representative of the investigating unit to appear before him during the detention hearings."

She even ordered the investigating officer to appear at hearings at the scene.

Therefore, the investigation officer Marina Kozli was called to the hearing, and only then did the hearing end and the suspect's detention was extended.

The judge ordered that the minutes be forwarded to the police commissioner.

The Israel Police stated: "The court's decision is being examined by the police, as long as a judicial review is heard, it will be studied and, if necessary, the necessary lessons will be learned accordingly."

At the same time, to Walla!

It was learned that the police intend to charge the police officer with a complaint he will file against Judge Argaman at the Public Complaints Commission against Judges.
