Alain Ferrandi had been granted a development in semi-freedom in February, but the national anti-terrorism prosecution (Pnat) had appealed, suspending this measure.

The adjustment of sentence requested provided that Alain Ferrandi works during the day and sleeps in the prison of Borgo (Haute-Corse) in the evening.

Without the recourse of the Pnat, this development could have been effective from March 14.

A first request was refused in 2019, then again on appeal in 2020.

Sentenced to life imprisonment for the assassination of the prefect Erignac in February 1998, Alain Ferrandi has been imprisoned since May 1999. Like Pierre Alessandri, another member of the commando, he has been eligible for parole since May 2017. Promised by Matignon after the fatal attack which targeted Yvan Colonna in detention, their transfer to the Corsican prison of Borgo was carried out on April 11.

Requested for a long time by the two men detained so far at the central house in Poissy (Yvelines), this rapprochement was made possible by the lifting on March 11 by Jean Castex of their status of “

particularly reported detainees

” (DPS).

Pierre Alessandri will know on May 12 the decision of the court for the application of anti-terrorism sentences concerning his request for accommodation, also on semi-freedom.

Yvan Colonna, also sentenced to life imprisonment, was assaulted at the central house in Arles (Bouches-du-Rhône), on March 2.

He died on March 21.

This attack caused great tension in Corsica, with many believing that it would not have taken place if he had been detained on the island.

The former shepherd of Cargèse also claimed for a long time his rapprochement on the island.
