Macron-Le Pen debate: what to remember from the face-to-face for the 2022 presidential election
You were probably in front of your television on Wednesday evening like 15.6 million French people.
After a game more peaceful than five years ago but less fiery, where Emmanuel Macron knew how to show his combativeness - sometimes to the detriment of too much arrogance - and Marine Le Pen her serenity - often beginning her pugnacious side -, all post-debate polls show that the president-candidate has won over public opinion more than his nationalist contender.
Obviously, these surveys do not predict the impact that this television moment will or will not have on the outcome of the second round.
A few hours after entering the ring, the two finalists quickly returned to the fray.
One in Seine-Saint-Denis.
The other in Pas-de-Calais.
