Today, the Syrian Society for the Treatment and Care of Child Cancer held a group breakfast for children with cancer and their families, in addition to carrying out a range of recreational activities and competitions.
The association's board chairwoman, Muzna Al-Olabi, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the activity comes within the framework of the association's endeavor to spread an atmosphere of joy among the children, get closer to their families, and know the difficulties they face in dealing with these children, as they are among the groups that need special treatment.
Al-Olabi indicated that the association also provided 100 vouchers to families of children with cancer in order to support them and provide them with assistance during the holy month of Ramadan and to secure part of their needs.
For her part, the child’s mother, Maryam, expressed her happiness with the association’s interest in the affected children, following up on their affairs and supporting their families, noting that the association greatly contributed to alleviating the financial burden in terms of providing treatment and health care, after the patient had to bear the burdens of traveling to receive treatment in Damascus.
The banquet was attended by the Governor of Hasaka, Ghassan Khalil, and a number of official and popular events.
