Damascus, SANA-
Cultivating a culture of volunteering among the youth is what is being developed by a number of civil associations and volunteer work teams that are active in the city of Damascus, especially during the month of Ramadan, through various programs, health awareness campaigns, and honoring workers in the service and community fields.
Riyadh Al-Khair Association, one of these organizations working in the voluntary field, organized an event in the Rose Garden in the Sarouja market district to honor cleaners and garden guards in appreciation of their work in caring for the environment and public hygiene, in cooperation with the Secretariat of the Sarouja Division and the Secretariat of the First City Division of the Arab Socialist Ba’ath Party.
The founder and director of Riyadh Al-Khair team, Roland Mushawah, stated that this event is a fruit of efforts to spread the culture of volunteerism among young people, as this initiative has attracted the attention and support of the local community, while the Secretary of the First City Division, Shadi Al-Khaymi, spoke about the importance of participation in creating a community movement that accompanies volunteer and service work and celebrates its workers.
