Syria is participating in the activities of the 59th Venice International Art Biennale in Italy, through a pavilion that includes the works of five Syrian plastic artists.
The Syrian participation in the Biennale, which opened yesterday, came under the title “The Syrian People a Common Destiny,” with the works of the plastic artists Sawsan Al-Zoubi, Omran Younes, Adnan Hamida, Ismail Nasra and Aksam Talaa, in addition to the works of four Italian artists.
Syria did not stop participating in this biennial, which is held every two years because it represents the values of peace and civilized dialogue among peoples.
The Venice Biennale witnesses important artistic participation from most countries of the world, in addition to attracting art-loving audiences from everywhere.
The Biennale was established in 1895 in the Italian city of Venice and is considered one of the most famous cultural institutions in the world. The current session of it came with the participation of 80 countries from all over the world. The exhibition will continue until the 27th of November of this year.
