A fire broke out in Tsing Yi.
Today (26th) at 2 am, a low-rise unit in Qingtao Building of Changqing Village caught fire behind closed doors, thick smoke and about 200 residents fled in a hurry.
Firefighters rushed to use a throat and a team of smoke hats to fight the fire, and put out the fire after about 20 minutes.
During the fire, a mother and son in the adjacent unit inhaled thick smoke and called for help by the window for a time. After being rescued, they were sent to the hospital by ambulance.
It is understood that there was a man who lived alone in the unit where the fire started. He was not at home at the time of the incident, and then rushed back to assist in the investigation. The fire department initially believed that the lamp in the unit was short-circuited and caught fire, and there was nothing suspicious.
