In the video: Searches for ten hikers who were swept away in the Dead Sea (fire and rescue)
Searches began tonight (Monday) for ten people who were reported to have been swept away on the shores of the Dead Sea oasis.
The drifters were part of a group of about 300 vacationers, some of whom have already been brought ashore with the help of local lifeguards.
Rescue forces are concentrating effort and are now questioning the vacationers to map out the missing.
The incident was assisted by the Judea and Samaria Police and the Flame Unit
of the High School, 417th Brigade, and an Israeli police helicopter scans from the air.
The hikers, who worked all day, carried a stretcher in the evening, and are now working in a sea rescue in complex weather conditions, "said Matan Murad, commander of the Scrolls Rescue."
We again call on the traveling public to observe the rules of caution and walk according to the instructions of the Nature and Parks Authority. "

Earlier, a 60-year-old hiker who had fallen from a height in Wadi Kelt and was evacuated by stretcher was rescued, and last night three teenage hikers were rescued who made a mistake during a hike in the Og River.
During the night rescue, the unit lost the thermal glider that helped shorten the locating times in the Judean Desert crevices.
