The governor of the Russian Belgorod Province, Vyacheslav Gladkov, announced that the Russian town of Zhuravlovka, near the border with Ukraine, was bombed by Kyiv authorities.
Russia Today website quoted Gladkov as saying, "He canceled his trip to Moscow because the town of Zhuravlovka was bombed," noting that there were civilians wounded as a result of the destruction of some residential buildings.
Zuravlovka, located about two kilometers from the border of Ukraine, was bombed earlier and a state of emergency was declared and the residents evacuated.
