Recent data from the Institute of International Finance shows that China recorded an all-time high in portfolio outflows, worth $17.5 billion, in the month of March.
The outflows included $11.2 billion in bonds, while the rest was stocks.
Chinese government data also showed a record withdrawal.
Experts point out that China's support for the Russian invasion of Ukraine was the catalyst for capital to leave the country.
