Legislative in Seine-et-Marne: Christian Jacob gives up seeking a 6th term

According to concordant sources, Christian Jacob (LR), 62, will not seek a sixth term as a deputy.

The rumor that swelled for several weeks has been confirmed.

The former mayor of Provins (Seine-et-Marne), several times minister in the government of Jean-Pierre Raffarin and until now president of the Republicans, has decided to hand over to Isabelle Périgault (LR), mayor of Plessis- Feu-Aussoux.

He will nevertheless be a substitute and will accompany his candidate to try to keep the constituency.
