The UN Security Council adopted a resolution extending the mandate of the UN Support Mission in Libya until July 31.

And the media reported that in a special session that took place today, the members of the Council voted unanimously to adopt Resolution 2629, which extends the mandate of the UN mission in Libya until next July, while no agreement was reached on the appointment of the head of the mission.

Libya is witnessing a political crisis with a dispute between two governments, one headed by former Interior Minister Fathi Bashagha, and the second headed by Abdel Hamid Dabaiba, who refuses to hand over power except through elections.
