Sahara heat moves to Germany: where the "tongue of heat" reaches Bavaria

A change between sun and rain: The weather in Bavaria remains changeable.
Summer will come next week – at least in some regions.
Munich – The sun is currently shining from the sky in Munich.
According to weather forecasts, it should rain again at noon.
Thunderstorms, some of them violent, were already raging over several regions in the Free State on Tuesday.
On Wednesday, the DWD again warns of enormous amounts of rain and thunderstorms at noon.
The tide should turn next week: Summer is coming.
Experts and weather models seem to agree that it's getting warm in Germany.
The Sahara heat then also hits Bavaria and brings warm summer air to the locals.

The Weather Channel
's Jan Schenk in his latest video.
“Because next week there will be up to 30 degrees.” The temperatures are going “very quickly” now.
The air mass map shows that it will remain cold this week.
From Monday, warm air will come to Germany, it comes from the Sahara and partly from the Canary Islands.
"That's real summer air, then it gets really warm, maybe even hot," says the weather expert.

What does that mean for Bavaria?
Summer is coming in some regions!
Even the 30 degree mark can be cracked.
On The Weather Channel's temperature chart for next week, all of Bavaria is glowing a dark red.
Thursday seems to be the warmest day of the week.
In Upper Bavaria there are around 25 degrees, in Lower and Upper Franconia even 27 degrees.
"30 degrees are also possible locally," explains Schenk.
Especially on the Main and "maybe also on the Alps".

Meteorologist Dominik Jung explains in a video that the Hoch Ünal "makes for nice weather in the north".
In the south, the "Venüs" low, which is responsible for the current downpours in Bavaria, is making itself felt.
The next few days in Bavaria will continue to be characterized by heavy rain and thunderstorms.
"Storms with 30 l/sqm in one hour cannot be ruled out," says the weather report from the DWD on Wednesday.
On Thursday there is a risk of thunderstorms and heavy rain, especially in the Black Forest and on the edge of the Alps.
So the umbrella shouldn't be stowed away for good until next week.
