About half an hour of service per month for the elderly, less than ten minutes a week for a patient of domestic violence and 13 minutes for a child a patient per week, according to a survey by the Women's Workers' Union and social workers conducted last month among 1771 social workers. The status of women, led by MK Aida Toma Suleiman.



The survey shows that 93% of the social facts indicate that there has been an increase in the burden placed on them in the last two years.

Of the respondents, 86% claimed that the reason for the congestion is an increase in the needs of the population, an increase in the number of referrals or deeper distress.

57% responded that there was an increase due to the departure of other employees in the team or organization.

55% indicated that there was an expansion in the scope of activity.

29% linked the increase in load to a decrease in the volume of other available responses, such as the closure of other services, or waiting lists in them.



Most social workers do not work full time.

74% of social workers are employed in an average of 75% of jobs. Social workers in the poverty area reported an average of 215 patients per social worker. This means a quota of 46 minutes per month per patient. Social workers in the field of people with disabilities reported an average of 252 service recipients. S., 40 minutes per month per patient. Social workers in the elderly area reported 243 service recipients on average per social worker.

This means about half an hour of service per month for the elderly.

Social workers in the field of women in distress reported 197 receiving service on average.

That means 38 minutes of service a month for a woman.

Child social workers reported an average of 138 children receiving service - 13 minutes per patient per week. Social workers dealing with domestic violence reported an average of 181 patients - 9 minutes and 50 seconds per week.

Social workers caring for mental health contestants reported an average of 158 patients - 15 minutes per patient per month. Social workers treating drug addicts reported an average of 133 patients - 18 minutes per patient per week.



The chairman of the Union of Workers and Social Workers, Inbal Hermoni, claims that the survey data conducted by the union show the deep shortage of social workers and the heavy burdens that exist on the workers left in the system.

It is not possible to provide a service to a victim of domestic violence for less than ten minutes a week.

It is not possible to help an elderly person in distress for half an hour a month.

A child at risk deserves more than 13 minutes a week.

It is time for the change government to change this unfortunate reality. "



The chairwoman of the Committee for the Advancement of Women, MK Aida Toma Suleiman, also responded to a study by the Association of Social Workers: "The wage should understand that the profession and social workers are the backbone of our society - and that harming them is harming the general public. What is needed now is an investment in attracting more facts to this important profession."
