(ANSA) - TURIN, 20 MAY - A book to "go back, stop in the middle and start again": tells the past with an eye to the future 'Candiolo trentacinque', the photographic volume edited by ANSA, with the support of the Piedmont Regional Council , which tells the story of the Piedmontese Foundation for Cancer Research.

The presentation today at the Book Fair, the Piedmont Arena as the background to a particularly heartfelt moment, because Candiolo "is a pride for the whole of Piedmont, a pole of excellence at an international level, a reference point for cancer centers - underlines the President of the Regional Council , StefanoAllasia - the real flagship of Piedmontese healthcare, which has become an international model for research and treatment ".


    Divided into four chapters, the volume describes the activities of the only Institute for Scientific Hospitalization and Care (Irccs) in Piedmont, namely the treatment and research against cancer, made possible by the solidarity of hundreds of thousands of Piedmontese.

To recall the beginnings, 35 years ago, the president of the Piedmontese Foundation for Cancer Research, Allegra Agnelli: "when I leafed through the volume the first time, I was excited. For me it is a really important book".
