Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh stressed that relations between his country and Greece should not be disrupted at the behest of a third party, pointing out that the crews of the two detained Greek oil tankers are fine and in good health.
Khatibzadeh said on his Twitter account today: The ancient relations between Iran and Greece and its wonderful people are always based on mutual respect and should not be disrupted at the behest of a third party.
And the Iranian Ports Organization announced in a statement today that the crew of the two Greek tankers had not been arrested, noting that all crew members are in good condition and are being dealt with in accordance with international laws.
