Popularity: Macron stable in May, mixed start for Borne

A month after his re-election, therefore no booster effect for the Head of State, whose action is deemed unsatisfactory by 58% of those polled (1% did not comment).

This level is also within the average of the last two years, with a peak of 43% favorable opinions in March 2020, at the start of the Covid crisis.

Emmanuel Macron is slightly ahead of Élisabeth Borne, with 45% of those questioned saying they are happy with his action, and 43% dissatisfied, 12% not deciding.

The new head of government fills up more among women (47%) than men (43%), and obtains her best scores among retirees (56%) and those over 65 (60%).

But it starts with a much thinner mattress than most of its predecessors according to this monthly barometer.
