Four students from the Rainer-Maria-Rilke-Gymnasium achieve a dream high school diploma.

None of them had really expected the result.

Icking - A girl quartet is at the top of the 2022 high school graduation class at the Rainer-Maria-Rilke-Gymnasium in Icking: Helen Mennenöh and Eliana d'Huc achieved the dream average of 1.0, followed by Hanna Sönksen with 1.1 and Valentina Pippig with 1, 2.

None of the four had really expected the result.

"I didn't give it too much thought beforehand - otherwise you're disappointed," says Hanna Sönksen (18).

Eliana d'Huc (18) sees it similarly: "I went into the exams with a 1.0, but I didn't expect to be able to keep it."

After graduation, he goes to a whale and dolphin research station

And the girls have something else in common: Now it's time to do something completely different from school.

Hanna Sönksen would like to see the world for six months, Eliana d'Huc and Valentina Pippig (17) even want to travel for a whole year.

Helen Mennenöh (18) will also be leaving her home in Icking, but the destination has already been set.

"I would like to work for a year at a whale and dolphin research station." The idea did not come about by chance.

The young woman vacillated between becoming a marine biologist and studying biochemistry in order to later work in research.

"The latter then won."

Tip for the one before the comma

Valentina Pippig later wants to study veterinary medicine and Eliana d'Huc wants to turn to human medicine.

Hanna Sönksen, on the other hand, would like to start studying MINT (mathematics, computer science, natural sciences and technology) at the Technical University of Munich.

But they have a tip for the subsequent high school graduates to get a one in front of the decimal point: “Work constantly, start learning early and don’t have a bad conscience if you don’t look at the books for a day in between.”
