Today, the French Ministry of Health recorded 16 new cases of monkeypox virus.

"Among the new infections, 12 were reported in the city of Ile-de-France," the ministry was quoted by AFP as saying.

And the French Minister of Health, Brigitte Bourguignon, announced last Wednesday that seven injuries had been recorded.

It is noteworthy that the French High Authority of Health recommended, in a memorandum issued last Tuesday, the vaccination of adults, including health staff, who had contact with patients.
