Negligence that claimed lives: A
Florida mother is accused of killing her 7-month-old baby son who drowned in a bath while she was trimming nails in the garage.
According to the report, Alyssa Carolyn Jimmy, 22, took a white bath with his 3-year-old brother.
While the two were alone, the mother decided to go out of the bathroom to trim her nails.
When she returned to the bathroom a few minutes later, she was horrified to find that her son was unconscious after the bath filled with water.

The investigation revealed that the bathtub was filled with water, after a towel blocked the drain.
The mother told investigators she "felt comfortable leaving the boys in the bath unattended because there was no drainage plug, and water could flow freely."
Among other things, Jimmy told investigators that her cell phone did not work, so she ran to the neighbor's house to call for help.
The baby was rushed to a hospital in the area, where medical staff were forced to determine his death three days later.
"This is a very sad series of events. I am sorry for your loss," Judge Mindy Glazer said in the sentence to the mother.
