Endocrine diseases and breast tumors in the second day of the scientific conference for medical care

On the second day of the activities of the seventeenth session of the Scientific Conference for Medical Care 2022 on the grounds of the exhibition city in Damascus, the participants discussed the latest developments in the treatment of endocrine diseases, diabetes and breast tumors.

Over the course of two sessions, the participants discussed several research and studies on the effect of iodine deficiency on the thyroid and other systems, iodine, pregnancy, and neonatal iodine deficiency, in addition to new developments in gastroesophageal junction diseases, endoscopic interventions for dysphagia after the treatment of surgical regurgitation, the latest developments in breast cancer surgery, and the role of preoperative treatment in These tumors, hepatic metastases and breast cancer.

In SANA’s statements, the participants drew attention to the importance of holding scientific conferences and symposia with the participation of students and researchers in order to improve the performance of cadres and basic medical competencies that would contribute to the development of the health sector. Pharmaceutical sciences and modern disciplines, and a group of young college professors will lecture in various disciplines such as drugs and genetics, in addition to another session in which laboratory sciences will be addressed, and there will be lecturers specialized in viruses and liquid biopsy.

Dr. Mustafa Mawaldi, Dean of the Faculty of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering at Damascus University, said.. We participate, through a scientific session, to introduce the Department of Medical Engineering and the research conducted in it, in addition to participating in the exhibition accompanying the conference by presenting the projects of a number of fifth-year students and graduates that have a role in improving service and care. Medical services provided to patients and include innovative inventions to familiarize stakeholders with them.

Pharmacist Hoda Saimeh, head of the scientific office of the Arab Medical Company Tamico, said: We are participating in the exhibition in order to remind visitors and doctors of the preparations that were and still gain the confidence of the citizen, especially antibiotics, painkillers and sterilizers, which played a major role during the spread of the Corona epidemic, as well as drugs for treating uric acid, diarrhea and dehydration are revealing. The company is working on developing new production lines during the coming period.

From Aleppo, the pharmacist Firas Azizi pointed to the importance of participating in exhibitions in order to introduce the various new pharmaceutical varieties produced by the company, noting the recovery and stability that the pharmaceutical industry is witnessing in Aleppo, which will contribute significantly to the return of production of all kinds and pharmaceutical products.

The activities of the conference, which is organized by the Ministry of Health in cooperation with Damascus University and the United Company for Medical Exhibitions and Conferences, kicked off yesterday with the participation of more than 100 university professors and specialist doctors and will continue for five days, accompanied by the Medical Care Exhibition 2022, which includes 60 leading companies in the fields of medical and laboratory equipment and national pharmaceutical industries, representing more than 100 offshore agencies from 18 countries.
