The federal and state governments want to prepare a comprehensive corona vaccination campaign against a possible new corona wave in autumn and winter.

The Prime Minister and Chancellor Olaf Scholz (SPD) agreed on Thursday during their deliberations in the Chancellery.

According to the proposal for a resolution available to the dpa, this includes low-threshold vaccination offers and vaccination centers on site.

Berlin – The federal government will ensure that there is an adequate supply of vaccines.

He also creates the conditions for the vaccination centers and mobile vaccination teams to continue to receive 50 percent financial support.

There should also be “no more widespread closures” of schools and childcare facilities, Scholz told journalists.

Specifically, the federal states asked the federal government to ensure the financing of the free citizen tests beyond June 30th.

North Rhine-Westphalia's Prime Minister Hendrik Wüst (CDU) said: "It is good that we are returning to intensive cooperation between the federal and state governments."

The Federal Ministry of Health had initially extended the ordinance, which also regulates these citizen tests, up to and including June 29.

This means that everyone, even without symptoms, is entitled to at least one quick test per week at test sites by trained staff and with a certificate.
