About 150 people were injured as a result of an ammonia leak today from a factory in the state of Andhra Pradesh, north India.
The Times of India reported that the victims complained of dizziness and fatigue, and a number of them were taken to nearby hospitals.
It is noteworthy that ammonia used as an agricultural fertilizer is considered toxic if its gases are inhaled.
Seven people were injured earlier today as a result of a major fire that broke out at the Deepak Nitrite chemical plant in the western Indian state of Gujarat.
