Freight elevator for the fire station is expensive for the municipality

A freight elevator is required for the fire station in Wolfratshausen-Weidach.
The municipality is more expensive than expected.
Wolfratshausen – Not only are the requirements growing – so is the building: As reported, the fire station in Weidach is being enlarged by an extension.
The measure includes a freight elevator over two floors that can lift a weight of at least one ton.
However, a first call for tenders for this construction phase, for which eight companies had been explicitly written to, remained without a result: No company came forward with an offer.

In a second attempt, three interested parties were finally found.
The city decided on the offer of a company from Mammendorf.
It amounts to around 64,000 euros and is therefore a lot more expensive than the municipality had thought: in the cost calculation, the planners had assumed expenses of around 46,000 euros.
The building committee commissioned the Mammendorf company unanimously.

The city council has budgeted around 2.6 million euros for the modernization and expansion of the fire station in the Wolfratshausen district.
According to the fire service requirement plan, the existing building – built in 1996 – no longer meets the current requirements.
In addition, the storage facilities are too small.
A three-storey extension is planned with additional parking spaces in the vehicle hall and more changing rooms on the ground floor, as well as a lecture hall, office and multi-purpose room above.
A special feature of the construction project: the fire brigade would like to lend a hand - as reported, the volunteers take care of 14 measures, such as tiling work, clearing and painting work.
