MEP Thierry Mariani has criticized the European countries' supply of arms to the Kyiv authorities as it increases tensions on the European continent and harms all parties.
"The President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, deceived the European countries in order to supply his country with weapons and deliberately created a new hotbed of tension in Europe, which is now ready for economic and geopolitical suicide in order to satisfy him," Mariani said in an interview with the French newspaper Valor-Actuial.
Russian President Vladimir Putin had previously warned that Moscow would strike sites that were not targeted so far if Kyiv was provided with long-range missiles.
For his part, Swiss Economy Minister Jay Parmelin announced that the sanctions imposed by the West against Russia against the backdrop of the Russian special military operation to protect the population in Donbass did not achieve their goals.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov had previously confirmed that Europeans are suffering from inflation and a deterioration in their standard of living as a result of Western sanctions imposed on Russia, warning that many of them will face poverty.
