Jean-Luc Reitzer remembers it like it was yesterday.

“Gaullist”
… and above all, in 1986, his arrival at the National Assembly.
A teenage dream, nourished by the desire to represent and defend his native land of Haut-Rhin.
Thirty-six years later, the elected Les Républicains keeps fond memories of it.
Yet it is the story of another life, of a journey that is coming to an end.
Because at 70, he does not want to do
“the campaign too much”
.
And prefers to leave at the right time, not without regrets, but with the honors of his peers and the feeling of accomplishment.
"I'm going to have a difficult time, I'm going to have to find occupations, but I have good hopes of being able to continue to play a role"
, he already foresees.
