The southwest monsoon is bringing showers to the coast of Guangdong.
At the same time, a trough of low pressure in northern Guangdong is bringing unstable weather to the region.
The Observatory predicts that the local area will be mostly cloudy today with a few showers and thunderstorms. There will be sunshine for a short time during the day and more frequent showers later. The maximum temperature will be about 31 degrees, with moderate to refreshing southwesterly winds.

The Transport Department said that due to urgent maintenance of the water mains, the only traffic lane at Tong Tze Street (to and from) between Lei Muk Road and Shek Yam Road is now closed.
The following affected bus routes will be diverted: 936, 235, 235M, 35A, 31.
