Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova confirmed today that three European countries closed their airspace to the plane of Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov bound for Serbia, cutting another channel of communication with Russia.
"A few hours ago, the countries surrounding Serbia closed another channel of communication and prevented Lavrov's flight from crossing to Serbia. The Russian delegation was supposed to arrive in the Serbian capital, Belgrade, but the member states of the European Union and NATO closed their airspace and closed Another channel of communication with Russia.
The head of the International Committee in the Russian Federation Council Grigory Karasin considered earlier that the refusal of some European countries to allow Lavrov's plane to cross their airspace to Serbia is an indication of a political inferiority complex.
