Syrian state television reported tonight (light for Tuesday) an airstrike near the Syrian capital Damascus.
A Syrian-affiliated media outlet reported that Israeli aircraft attacked Iranian militia sites in Talal al-Kassawa in southwestern Damascus.
A fire was also reported in the area.
At the same time, the Syrian Center for Human Rights affiliated with the Syrian opposition reported that air defense systems had been activated against Israeli missiles fired from the south.
As you may recall, the last attack took place on May 20, when it was reported that Israeli aircraft had bombed targets in the vicinity of Damascus.
It was later learned that three Syrian officers in the Assad regime's air defense system were killed in the attack.
