In 2007, the company I worked for was taken over by Continental.

Two entities from the same country but a different culture: at Continental, the hierarchy is flat.

This does not prevent respect between people, but the absence of too many hierarchical levels allows everyone to address everyone.

This is valuable in terms of autonomy.
