"We have a history of around a dozen similar vessels that will be located by our National Navy," said Duque.

The San José galleon is a Spanish ship that was sunk by English corsairs in 1708 off the coast of Cartagena de Indias.

President Duque indicated that they have decided that the treasure be a "unified heritage, that cannot be divided, that cannot be separated, that is a whole, of enormous patrimonial wealth."
