Russia's Defense Ministry said they opened a land corridor in eastern Ukraine connecting Russia to the Crimean peninsula that they annexed in 2014. The International Atomic Energy Agency said that for the first time since Russia invaded Chernobyl in February, the transmission of data on radiation in that nuclear plant was restarted.
And Mariupol, the Russian-occupied city, is facing deteriorating sanitary conditions.
